 INGREDIENTS

For Chicken Marinade

Chicken 250 gm

Lemon - ½

Some Salt

A pinch of Turmeric powder

 

For Chicken Gravy

4 tsp-  Cooking Oil/Pure Ghee (optional)

Onion -2 pc (sliced)

Tomato – 2 pc (Paste)

½ tsp – Cumin/Jeera 

3-4 pc- Cloves/Lavang

3 pc – Green Cardamum/Elaichi

1 pc – Black Cardamum/Badi Elaichi

2 pc – Cinnimon Sticks/Dal Chini

1 tsp – Red chill Powder

½ tsp – Coriander Powder

Salt to taste

½ tsp – Turmeric powder

½ tsp – Garam Masala Powder

¼ tsp – Black Pepper Powder

1 tsp – Kasuri Methi

1 tsp – Ginger Garlic Paste

Coriander-Mint Leaves

½ Glass – Water

For Onion – Cashew-Curd Paste

Fried Onion

6-7 pc Cashew

½ Cup – Curd/Dahi

 INSTRUCTIONS :

For Chicken Marinade : Add Chicken in a mixing bowl, further add Lemon - ½, Some Salt, A pinch of Turmeric powder, mix well and marinate it for 15 minutes.

For Onion – Cashew-Curd Paste : Set a pan on medium heat, add the 2pc Onion, finely chopped, fry until it you see golden brown, then took out the pan and take a cool down. Transfer to a grinding jar with 6-7 pc Cashew & ½ Cup – Curd/Dahi and grind them.

For Kadai Chicken/Gravy : Set a pan on medium heat add Ghee/cooking oil and add marinated chicken, fry for you see golden spot on it while stirring in intervals, keeping the flame low. After some time, see golden spot on it so take out of it.

Than Add Cumin, Cloves, Green Cardamum, Black Cardamum, Cinnimon Sticks and cook for 1-2 minutes, Add Ginger-Garlic paste and fry from golden brown. And then Add all Powdered spices and mix well. Add some water, cover and cook for 1-2 minutes. After that add Tomato Paste and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes or until the oil/ghee is separate. 

Than Add Fried Chicken and mix well and adjust the consistency of the gravy by adding water. Cover and cook for 10 minutes. After that low down the heat and add  Onion – Cashew-Curd Paste and Coriander-Mint Leaves to the gravy and stir gently,  cover and cook for 10 minutes or until the oil/ghee is separate. 

KADAI CHICKEN IS READY TO BE SERVED, SERVED IT HOT WITH NAAN, ROTI, RICE OF YOUR CHOICE. SERVE HOT.
