Navratri Special Rose Flavoured Creamy Rice Kheer

Ingredients

  • ¼ Cup Rice Soaked for 30 min 1 Litre Full Fat Milk
  • ¾ Cup Sugar

·         4 Tsp - Milk powder

  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder
  • Saffron
  • Few Drops of Rose Essence 
  • Dry fruits : 3 tbsp Chopped Almonds, 3 tbsp Chopped Cashew Nuts, 3 tbsp Chopped Pistachios, some coconuts pieces
  • Edible Rose Petal
  • Some Chopped Dry Fruits, Rose Petal and Edible Silver Leaf for Garnishing

Instructions

  1. .         Take 1/4 cup rice and soak it in water for 30 min

     2.   After 30 min, rinse the water and break the rice in small pieces using your fingers if you are using whole rice grains. Skip this step If you are already using broken rice grains.

  1. In a thick bottom utensil, add some water and 1 litre of full fat milk and switch on the flame.
  2. Bring this milk to a boil and then add soaked rice to it.
  3. Constantly stir the kheer so that it does not stick to the bottom and burn.
  4. 5 min after adding the rice, add 4 Tsp - Milk powder & 3/4 cup sugar. You can increase or reduce the quantity as per your taste.
  5. After 10 min of cooking and constant stirring, add ¼ tsp cardamom powder,  Few Drops of Rose Essence  and Saffron milk. And adding dry fruits
  6. Cook this further and scrape the sides occasionally.
